A to Z Laparoscopic Suturing Course

Course description

Laparoscopic suturing and knot tying require a high level of psychomotor skills and should be learned in the early stages of laparoscopic training.

A 3 days course for max. of 20 participants (2 per station) with theoretical and mostly practical training in laparoscopic suturing skills.

After completing basic dry lab training, almost all scenarios encountered during laparoscopic gynaecological surgery (i.e., myomectomy, vaginal cuff closure, complications,…) will be simulated in wet lab.

Objectives

  • Understand the complexity of laparoscopic suturing
  • Define personal needs and objectives in laparoscopic suturing
  • Adopt a personal suturing and knotting techniques
  • Implement suturing skills in laparoscopic surgical practice

Target audience

Gynaecologists, urologists, general surgeons dealing with pelvic laparoscopic surgery and Residents from the same specialties
